George Wolfe

When George Wolfe kayaked the 51 mile length of the L.A. river, there is no way he could have known that this act would begin a movement that would culminate with Mayor Eric Garcetti discussing the potential for revitalizing our river with the President of the United States. George Wolfe's actions proved the LA river's status as a Traditional Navigable Water and, in so doing, compelled the US Army Corps of Engineers to implement a revitalization plan that will open the L.A. river to recreation and nature once again.
